Tamano Mayu (玉野まゆ(たまのまゆ)) is a side character from Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. Half of the comedic Ayu-Mayu duo. Appears in Ayu-Mayu Alternative and Ayu-Mayu Gekijou with Daikuuji Ayu. Her entire family is dead.

Etymology[]

Tamano means "ball, sphere, bullet, lens, jade, bulb, bead, gem, shot, jewel, shell, coin, bowl, pretty girl" (玉) (tama) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).
Mayu is written in hiragana (まゆ), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (真優 or 満夕), it could possibly mean:
- 真優 - "real, genuine" (真) (ma) and "excellence, superiority, gentleness" (優) (yu).
- 満夕 - "full/fullness, enough, satisfy" (満) (ma) and "evening" (夕) (yu).
