The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Base is a Soviet-UN base located near the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
Prior to the Soviet leadership's retreat to Alaska, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky served as the capitol of the Soviet Union. Sometime after the retreat, the base was used to house a UN presence. Connected to Soviet Alaska by sea, the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Base serves as a rally point for various Soviet frontline bases and the final line of defense the Soviets can muster against the BETA on their home ground at the Eastern Front. The base supports the Ц-series Frontline Bases, allowing troops to deploy farther out into the region to head off BETA incursions via the Sea of Okhotsk.
The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Base, together with the Ц-series Frontline Bases, are the closest facilities to the Evensk Hive, and their locations also result in frequent contact with BETA raiding forces from other Hives; Objectives 23, the Olyokminsk Hive, and Objective 25, the Verkhoyansk Hive. The BETA of Objective 19, the Blagoveshchensk Hive, are also within range to strike the base, bringing with them the normally-absent threat of Laser-class BETA, as the other aforementioned Hives are only Phase 2, and therefore unable to produce the necessary G-Elements to create them.
